There is a fungus among us. Have you spotted these ugly brown and yellow patches showing up in your St. Augustine turf grass? A fungus causes those spots. We recommend Premium Fungal treatment for all St. Augustine turf grass. We preventively apply fungicide in April, September, and October. Extra nutrients (mainly chelated iron) are applied at the same time, which is extremely beneficial to St. Augustine turf grass.
The Fungus among us
This year is shaping up to be the perfect storm for St. Augustine turf grass disease. Even with or without the extra treatments, we will see permanent loss of some St. Augustine this year across the Metroplex. Needless to say, we will have a better chance of reducing the damage if we are allowed to treat it as recommended. In addition to our treatments in April, September, and October, anyone on our Premium Fungal Control program will receive treatment for active fungus at anytime.
